Here are some pics from an event called Funde Razor (an event held to raise money for the Child’s Play charity) in NYC where several custom Guitar Hero controllers were shown.

why would anyone turn a perfectly good guitar into a controller for a crappy guitar game.

  2. spoon sucks on March 14th, 2007 11:39 am

Because you touch yourself at night, spoon. Or it’s for a fundraiser. And they probably used guitar bodies, not entire guitars.

does something about this make you mad, spoon? are you some sort of guitar preservation expert? exactly. shut the … up.

    I agree with spoon. It’s a shame.

What does it matter? Besides I thought the fork ran away with the spoon, and yes I did qoute a nursery rhyme.
People will do what they want with what evre they want.. Mods for comps or games, for Charity or not… I like the concept here, it adds more flair, for lack of a better word, to an alright game. Obviously someone likes the game or the wouldn’t of wasted the time on a sequel.

I think it’s cool. It’s turning crappy guitars (no one would use the good stuff) into awesome controllers!

It’s not like there is some shortage of good guitars in the world. Even if they made the controllers out of top-grade Fender Strats there won’t be a shortage of the real guitars. Child’s Play is a great charity, Guitar Hero is an amazing and innovative game, and Spoon sucks.
