Actor Neil Patrick Harris: “I’m Gay”

Neil Patrick HarrisIn an interview with People magazine Friday, Actor Neil Patrick Harris confirmed that he is gay, only two days after his representative issued a statement saying that the actor was “not of that persuasion.”

Harris stated, “[I] am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love,”.

I have to admit, this does come as somewhat of a surprise to me. I always pictured NPH as a crazy swinger, probably because of his cameo appearance in the film Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, where he plays a wild and crazy, strip club addicted, drug addict version of himself.

It will be interesting to see what kinds of roles Harris will do now. Hopefully he won’t start getting offered roles in cheese films now. Personally, I’d like to see some more comedy.
